Questions & Answers
How much does powder coating cost?
There is no flat price. The cost depends on the size and number of parts, how much old coating and rust has to come off, the surface, the finish and number of coats, the color choice, masking and any repairs. We set the price after we see the job. Use our cost calculator for a rough idea, then call for a real quote.
What colors and finishes can I choose?
Gloss, satin, matte, textured, metallic, candy and clear, in single-stage or two-stage finishes. Two-stage uses a base plus a clear or color coat for candy, metallic and chrome-look finishes. We can color match in most cases. Tell us the look you want and we will point you to the right finish.
How long does a powder coating job take?
Most jobs take a few business days, but the real time depends on the part, the prep it needs, the finish and how many colors. Larger batches and two-stage finishes take longer. We give you a turnaround when we quote the job.
Do you pick up and deliver?
We can arrange pick-up and delivery for shop work. Drop-off, pick-up and delivery details are confirmed when the job is booked. Mobile and dustless blasting comes to your home, business, job site or yard anywhere in Houston.
Which parts of Houston do you serve?
We serve customers across the City of Houston, from the Inner Loop to the east side, west side and Clear Lake. See our service areas for the neighborhoods we work in, and call if your part of Houston is not listed.
Do you come to my home or job site?
Yes, for mobile and dustless blasting. We bring the rig to your home, business, job site or yard anywhere in Houston for brick paint removal, graffiti removal, pool work, driveways, fences, boats, trailers and large items. Powder coating itself is cured in an oven at the shop, but blasting and prep can be done on site.
How do I get a quote?
Call us, or send a request through our quote form. Tell us what the item or surface is, roughly how big it is, the current finish and the color you want. Photos help — let us know if you can text some. We set the price after we see the job.
Do you work on wheels and car parts?
Yes. We strip, blast and coat wheels, rims, calipers and automotive parts, and we do the blasting and coating side of classic car restoration — car frames, chassis and suspension parts. Tires come off before coating. See our wheel and automotive page for more.
